We Are...
EARTH ADVOCATES
We source and harvest what we can straight from the earth, using its energy and beauty for creative practice, medicine and for its eternal wisdom to help people to heal. Our intuition and compassion for our plant, water and mineral allies will always guide us in safe and sustainable practice. We never take without giving back. Our appreciation and respect for Ancestral and Indigenous wisdom drives us to share in our earth’s healing and progression towards harmony. The state of our planet and the state of our wellness are both of the same.
MEDICINE MAKERS
We respect and hold close the rhythms that guide our life; entwining us with the cycles of the moon, the changing of the seasons, our biorhythms and the life cycle of the plant kingdom. We practice earth alchemy in our Living Lab, honouring and respecting the transformation that happens when plants and hands work together. We combine these ways and these rhythms with traditional wisdom in ways that support our well being and the health of our planet.
KITCHEN WITCHES
We believe that food is medicine and that the kitchen is a natural birthplace of magic and healing—a haven where we practice rituals in transformation. With a few ingredients wild yeast becomes a potion for levitation, salting-a ritual in purification and steeping a cure for impatience. Food is magic and medicine! We gather and harvest botanical energy to create a symbiotic “soil to soul” connection. Eating as close to the earth as possible and practicing edible wellness, can transform us on all levels of our being.
CIRCLE KEEPERS
It is our intention to hold safe and inclusive spaces in which people can learn, thrive and heal in. It is becoming increasingly important to maintain our human connections and gather in circle to empower and grow our authentic relationships. Together we can embrace the beauty in sharing thoughts and knowledge as we become fuller and lighter at the same time.
The Wild Folk presented itself as a necessity and an honourable way to live, connect and spend our moments. It was time to pare back, slow down and simplify our lives. It was time to truly honour our connections and give to our bodies and minds a better place to thrive. It was important for us to show the next generation where to find mindful wonderment in a world that moves quickly—to explore those sacred moments of curiosity and peace more closely and more often—the ones we find and feel in the wild. We are here to live those moments that drive us to be naturally creative, naturally content and naturally connected.
“The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.”
~Thich Nhat Hanh
